About Us
Mortgage Israel was founded in 2003 to assist people in obtaining financing for Israeli real estate, both in the residential and commercial sectors. We were the first Mortgage company of its kind in Israel, catering exclusively to the international English speaking market and essentially introduced mortgage brokerage to the Israeli banking system. Our clients include local and international buyers and we work closely with local lawyers, various real estate companies, builders and other industry professionals. Our head office is based in the center of Jerusalem, with offices in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Ramat Gan, Ranana and Toronto, Canada.
The Team
AVNER BUNTMAN | CEO & Senior Consultant
Avner Buntman grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1988. He completed a degree in Economics and Business Management at the University of Western Ontario, and also attended the MBA program at the University of Toronto, with a focus in accounting. He moved to Israel in 1997, where he learned in various Yeshivas in Israel. His work experience includes 5 years in foreign exchange both as an active trader and consultant for small to medium size companies, helping them to structure, plan and execute their retail forex transactions. In 2003, he founded Mortgage Israel and is involved in the daily running of the company. He primarily consults with international clients and investors, assisting them with multi currency loans including hedging and risk management strategies related to payments. Avner also oversees the foreign exchange division of the company. He lives with his wife and children in Jerusalem.
AARON MORGAN | Senior Mortgage Consultant /Head Analyst Ramat Beit Shemesh Office
Aaron Morgan grew up in Ottawa, Canada. He graduated with an honors degree in Actuarial and Statistical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. Aaron launched his career at Manulife Financial where he developed pricing models for life insurance and provided detailed market analysis for Manulife's Competitive Intelligence Division. Aaron went on to work in foreign exchange for FXUC Solutions Ltd, a local Israeli company, where he developed and marketed a successfull portfolio of managed foreign exchange funds. Since joining the Mortgage Israel team, Aaron has combined his strong financial background and customer service oriented style to lead the company growth in the Ramat Beit Shemesh area. Aaron also acts as the head analyst for mortgage research department. Aaron made Aliya to Israel in 2004 and lives with his wife and two children in Ramat Beit Shemesh.
DAVI KATZ | Senior Mortgage Consultant Jerusalem Office
Davi Katz grew up in New York and attended City University of New York, Queens, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, graduating with honors. He worked for four years as an Account Executive for Enterprise Fleet Services providing fleet consulting and management services to C-level executives in mid size companies throughout New York City. Davi brings a strong analytical background and a good understanding of macro economics to the Mortgage Israel team. His experience with a large US based service company, has made him a leader in customer care and service excellence. Davi made Aliya with Nefesh B'nefesh in 2002 and lives in Ramat Beit Shemesh with his wife and three children.
AARON KRASNER | Senior Mortgage Consultant Jerusalem Office
Aaron grew up in London, England, and moved to the Shaarei Chesed neighborhood of Jerusalem in 2001. He studied at Yeshivas Midrash Shmuel, which he attended on a full-time basis for over 7 years. He has been working with Mortgage Israel since 2008, and has quickly built an outstanding reputation for professionalism and customer service excellence. Aaron is pleasant, hard-working, enthusiastic and organised, and he will always go the extra mile to give his clients the best possible results. His expert knowledge of the local property and mortgage markets, together with his critical thinking and adept negotiating skills, make Aaron one of the great assets of the Mortgage Israel Team. Aaron is also the author of a book containing over 175 essays on complicated Talmudic passages, and he currently lives with his wife and 2 children in Rechavia, Jerusalem.
ADAM SEGAL | Senior Mortgage Consultant Tel Aviv Office
Adam Siegel grew up in Chicago where he attended Hebrew Theological College and DePaul University. After earning a bachelor's degree with honors in International Studies he received smicha from Yeshivas Bais Yisroel in Jerusalem, and is currently on the faculty of Bar Ilan University where he teaches Talmud and Jewish Law. Prior to making aliyah and joining Mortgage Israel, Adam was the founding director of the United States' first Hebrew/English charter school and won multiple awards from Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, and World Insurance for outstanding performance as an insurance broker on behalf of these companies. This background enables Adam to clearly and succinctly explain all of the available mortgage options to his clients and to help them identify the one best suited to their financial situation. Adam currently lives with his wife and five children in Ramat Gan.
ROB BLOOM | Director of Marketing
Rob Bloom grew up in Toronto and attended the University of Western Ontario. Prior to making aliyah, Rob worked in the Toronto real estate industry as a leasing manager at O&Y Enterprise and subsequently became a senior leasing manager at Scotiabank and GE Capital Real Estate. Rob's has extensive experience with commercial real estate transactions and is a detail oriented and energetic member of the Mortgage Israel team. His main focus is business development in both the mortgage and foreign exchange sectors, mainly liaising with local real estate agents, lawyers, builders and other industry professionals. Rob currently lives with his wife and two children in Rechavia, Jerusalem.
AVRAHAM MAHLER | Senior Mortgage Consultant Jerusalem Office
Avraham Mahler grew up in Los Angeles, California. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Ecology with a minor in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, and subsequently completed a Master’s in City Planning and Economic Development from the University of Southern California. Avraham worked in real estate development in Los Angeles for Westland Industries, a major real estate holding company. His area of expertise included financial analysis and economic feasibility of new commercial and residential projects and was part of the team that dealt with the financing aspects of each acquisition. He moved to Israel in 2008 and served in the IDF engineer's office as well as spent time learning in Yeshiva. Avraham combines a solid real estate finance background with a strong desire to help people navigate the mortgage process in Israel. He currently lives in Jerusalem with his wife and daughter.
WARREN FACTOR | Senior Mortgage Consultant Modiin Office
Warren Factor grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and emigrated to Boca Raton, Florida, U.S.A in 1996. He completed a degree in Finance and Business Management at Boston University. His work experience includes 14 years in the mortgage industry as owner and founder of a succesful Mortgage company in South Florida which had over 1000 clients. Warren is recognized as an expert within the Mortgage industry has closed many complicated residential and commercial transactions. He was the Treasurer of Boca Raton Synagogue, Treasurer of Torah Academy Yeshiva of Boca Raton, and he was honored by the Jewish Education Center of South Florida for his outstanding dedication and contributions to this outreach organization. Warren, his wife, and five children made Aliyah in the summer of 2009.
REUVEN GLAUSER | North American Representative Toronto, Canada
Reuven joined the Mortgage Israel team in 2009 as the head of North American activities. Prior to this Reuven worked as director of outreach on several university campuses in Toronto area. He graduated University of North Carolina with a bachelors in Math. He has worked in the Oil and Gas sectors, focusing primarily on retail services geared towards larger clientele in the property sector. Reuven brings a strong analytical background and dedicated customer service to the team at Mortgage Israel. He is currently based in Toronto, Canada and consults with clients based in North America, who are planning on making aliya or individuals purchasing investment properties in Israel. As the only member of the team based in North America he provides a local access point for clients based overseas. He lives with his wife and 3 children in Toronto.

Adina Gartner | Head of Foreign Exchange Payments
Adina joined mortgage Israel in 2005 and ran the processing department for 3 years. Since 2008 she has managed the payments and foreign exhange payments department. She has a background in accounting and finance. Adina lives with her husband and daughter in Jerusalem.
Nava Ostrov | Head of Mortgage Processing
Nava joined Mortgage Israel in 2008 and runs the mortgage processing department. She previously worked as a manager of sales and customer service team at Orange Partner Communications, one of Israel's leading cellular companies. Prior to this she worked at Deloitte Israel.
Tova Kobernick | Office Manager
Tova joined Mortgage Israel in 2007 and runs the main office. Her responsibilities include customer service, accounting and controller activities along with general marketing and client services.
